When I first saw Barbe à Papa (lit. "Papa's beard") on this kiosk, along with the Glace (ice cream) and Gaufres (waffles), I couldn't think what it meant and just assumed that it was a brand name of some kind.
It was only when I saw the kiosk in action that I realized that barbe à papa is what the French call cotton candy. Which makes perfect sense when you think about it, at least if your papa had a pink beard.
