Within about a half mile radius of the sancutaries, there isn't hardly anything but gift stores, hotels, and cafes.
I feel sorry for the proprietors of the gift shops in particular:
they're all selling pretty much the same merchandise
(enough rosaries to sink a battleship!) at pretty much the same prices. I don't know how the half of
them stay in business. My sympathy is doubtless misplaced, and I expect if I had visited at the height
of the season, I'd have no questions.
